Hello Farm! Goats are greatest of the great Escape Artists and they‘re notorious to find a way out. Our USA Agro Farm’s new dazzling beauties- yearling boer does Belly and Nelly have proven it with flying colors. They entered through chicken coop’s release window which is barely 10 inches in height and Belly & Nelly’s shoulder height is at least 25 inches tall. How on earth they could enter into the chicken coop with 10 inches opening is a scary-tale rather than fairly tale story to retold for generations to come.
The reason behind their escape-story is Belly and Nelly were raised in a enclosed barn and on the floor bed with lots of hay toppings. But I am introducing them open grazing area with goat shelter which is 33 inches above the ground. But I didn’t realize until I saw them inside the chicken coop that they’re desperately looking for their enclosed home and found the way to get into the chicken coop. The pictures speak for themselves.
Belly abd Nelly were carefully bred by our fellow goat breeder Christine from North Jersey. They will soon be introduced to our 2-year old handsome boy Charlie (Chandrabanshi) and we’re hoping to have their offsprings by coming August.
Goats raising business in the United States has potential to thrive. Demands for goat meat is high, especially, from growing Muslim American and South Asian American populations who prefer goat meat. USA Agro Farm aims to serve these communities. However, according to The American Goat Federation: "The importation of goat meat into the United States is estimated over 30 million dollars annually, and over half of the goat meat eaten in the U S is from feral goats imported from Australia."
